Scrap metal prices are near historic highs and Universal Wrecking Corp (UWC) is an expert in the recycling and recovery of both ferrous (steel) and non ferrous (copper, aluminum, etc.) scrap metals. The value of the recovered scrap is applied back as a credit against the cost of demolition. In addition, there may be salvageable or useable equipment including electrical equipment, generators, tanks, vessels, mixers and other process and manufacturig equipment. Universal Wrecking Corp is pleased to announce the opening of their Texas branch office which is located at 8201 FM 2300 South, Pampa Texas 79065 (806) 416-0655. The branch office was setup to manage the recent large power plant project awarded to Univeral Wrecking Corp (UWC) by the Pampa EDC. The Pampa EDC awarded the demolition of the existing coal fired boiler facility which included demolition of the coal fired boilers and all ancillary equipment at the PEC site in Pampa, Texas. It is expected that the demolition project will be completed by the end of 2012. There is a significant amount of scrap metal to be recycled at the site which includes copper, steel and stainless steel. There is also a large amount of used equipment that will be salvaged and sold. The UWC Texas branch office will also serve the entire Texas area and surrounding states providing a complete suite of contractor services including building demolition, decommissioning, salvage, interior demolition, used equipment sales and scrap metal recycling.
